This doesn't mean we only upload things like that on here, we also intend to post about other things. This tumblr account should primarily serve as an opportunity to inform about updates or to tease about new projects. Nice to meet you:3 We're Nasti and Wena and we're having a page on fanfiktion together. But I'll just place it as this for now…and see how I feel later. Yugioh could easily be bumped back to #1 on a random blue moon. It's so goofy but when shit gets real you do actually care. However because I love the characters so much, yes I would have liked a more detailed background for everyone. Sometimes it's the characters actions that help you determine who they are. And plenty of really good series can have lower deph characters. There's deph to them, enough to be engaged, but it wanted to be fun, not overly serious. It's not the most clever written thing and imo the biggest flaw is how surface level the characters are. Yugioh just really set itself out to be different. An iconic art style that many artists are not able to achieve. However, as I said before, what inspired this series. And people kinda don't really take it seriously or seem to hold it actively in their hearts. The 4kids anime dub became the faace of what Yugioh is in the West. Same as Jojo which is cleeeeeearly what heavily inspired Yugioh (Basically early Yugioh is Jojo part 4) But it is what it is. Yugioh was not meant for little children. Yugioh is a childhood nostalgia thing obviously however 4kids reducing it to a "children's" series was a disservice. It's weird it's like, it's actually really detailed complex action but maybe not doing certain techniques with it made it harder to process. But I think it's all done really good actually, you just have to study a little bit harder than you'd like. Also I very quickly found out how common it is for people to say Trigun is hard to read action wise. I feel like it's a classic for a reason and sadly I don't think the anime really helped show what Trigun really is. Go in expecting a fun cool action series and then get that curve ball that is the story it actually wants to tell. Going into it blind is the best possible way to experience it. A really solid medium length story basically. Trigun is great because it knows how to pace itself well and not drag itself out too much. Like Death Note,it's actually a really easy to digest story that dips enough into philosophy and morality but not too much to become a possibly more convoluted and complex story THOUGH if they did that would be fine too.
